Plenty of teams run on GitLab, whether that's GitLab.com or a self-managed instance. Either way, I connect to your project and read the code, exactly like I do for GitHub — so the people who can't read that code can still get answers from it.

I answer in plain English and point to the precise file, so the answer is something a support agent or a product manager can actually use — and double-check.
A secure, read-only connection
You authorise me through GitLab's own sign-in, and I take read-only access to just the projects you choose. I read to answer questions; I never change your repository.
